they definitely both seem to be willing to take hits, and the bruises that come with them. when he brings a foot up, she takes it with a grunt, using the momentum of being swept to the ground to roll back to her feet quickly, grass kicking up.
she uses the short distance to regroup, blowing a little hair out of her face with a huff and holding her arms up defensively, prepared to jab outwards, but also ready to take more blows if need be. for now, jolyne moves to circle a bit, appraising another move before darting in when there's a potential opening for an uppercut. ]
Axel's sort of appraising her as well, by which we mean that he's already moving after her when she's taking the short distance away. His plan's going to be to aim for a punch lower, towards one of her sides, though with her circling around, it's a bit difficult to go for an immediate straight shot.
He decides not to completely come all the way over, sliding around a bit himself, and making it appear that he's got a potential opening. Uppercuts are definitely something he wants to avoid, though despite him trying to set up a lure, he...well. Let's say that avoiding it completely almost happens, but not quite. Catching him more towards the right side of his chin than directly under, and making him stumble back, but right after he's swinging a kick directed towards Jolyne's left side. ]
