Yeah, they're all over where I'm from. They usually sell drinks, but some of them sell things like pencils or notebooks if you're in a school, or they sell snacks too like chips and candy! These are kind of... extensive. I've never seen ones with all this variety before hehe.
[ well jolyne is about to pop into a swan boat for a nice sunny lounge today when she spots nico robin and gives a quick wave! she's wearing an interesting-looking hat on her head to keep the sun out of her face, with some sunglasses perched on her nose. ]
[Robin was taking a walk in a big white hat (very similar to the on in her icon) with her sunglasses on when she turned to her name. She returned the smile as she walked over.]

[ OH HER BIG WHITE HAT i love her. jolyne will climb in and sit back! i think these are pedal-steered boats usually, so jolyne is happy to take the driver's side and let robin have a leisurely ride. it's like letting your dog on a treadmill basically. ]

Hmm? [The card taking Robin's thoughts away from her thoughts. She laughed softly when she looked at it.] I never imagined I'd be on a card. Where did you find it?
[Robin couldn't believe she was in the same place where they found another body. With the paper in her hand she took a seat on the nearest bench to take a breath.
[Robin will be in the coffee shop trying one of their seasonal flavors. She can't recall having heard of something called pumpkin spice before, but she did enjoy it. Between the trial and execution coming here was the reset she needed. She'll be staring out the window with the drink next to her and a stationary book in front of her. She learned about it now she wants to do all the things with it.]
[Robin didn't want any of her memories to appear easy for people to see. She's been through enough that even she didn't want to think about it sometimes, but it's out of her hands this time. Above her head showed the memory of an island called Ohara, her home, which was now on fire. Robin, who was no older than eight, ran through the village trying to find a way to escape. The library where she spent so much time learning about the world was in flames. The archaeologists that took care of her despite knowing she had a devil fruit were gone. The marines were killing anyone that they could. No matter how fast she could run it wasn't fast enough. She stopped when she saw the familiar figure, a woman who looked very similar to Robin, only with white hair.
"Robin!"
"Mom!"
Robin felt relieved as she finally hugged her mother after being away from her for so long. However, her relief disappeared when she saw the tears in her mother's eyes.
"Mom?"
"Robin...I'm so happy to see you, but there isn't much time. You need to get out of here. You have to leave Ohara and live. The world needs to know the true history and you're the only one now who can read the polygraphs."
"I don't want to leave you!" Robin gripped her mom's back while the island's flames grew in the background.
Her mother hugged her tight before easing her out of her arms. "You have to live! Go! Get out of here!"
"Come with me!"
"I can't there's still something I have to do. Robin I love you very much." Her mom hugged her as tight as she could before she stood up with Robin's hand in her own. "Come with me. I know someone who can get you out." She ran with Robin to the docks as the marines marched around the village destroying centuries of knowledge. The memory fades out to the helpless feeling going through Robin as she runs with her mom.
Robin is doing her best not to acknowledge that part of her past is on display while she's sitting in the park trying to enjoy her book.]
[ well... god. jolyne watches this entire scene unfold before her, her fingers curled into her palms, nails digging into the skin. this week is so unfair, putting everyone's pasts on blast. it's not right. she watches as robin's mother pulls her into a tight hug, and her stomach churns full of stones as she watches until the last panel flips shut.
and finally, glancing to robin before sitting herself down beside her. ]
... This week sucks... I'm sorry.

[Robin nodded as she closed her book.] This week has been something.
[Robin patted her hand as she swallowed.] They were destroying it. My home island of Ohara no longer exists. I'm the only one left from the island. Someone let the World Government know that I can read an ancient language that describes the true history of my world. They thought the World Government would just arrest everyone, not destroy the island, but they did.
Yes...there's a lot of secrets that the government doesn't want to get out. The island I came from we were able to read the secret language that described what happened along with an ancient weapon they have control. The World Government didn't know, until that person told them in hopes that I would be arrested. I had no idea the World Government was looking for an excuse to destroy Ohara, until that moment. It's part of the reason I've been on the run since I was eight.
[ she'll settle in on the seat at her table, her own coffee in hand. there's a slice of dark chocolate cake in her other hand, which she just sticks her fork into quietly. ]
